Across the Miles, Love Stays

Two persons being in a relationship is not easy but the more difficult of it is when the couple is in a long distance relationship. Some says that this kind of relationship helps the couple to be stronger with one another even if they often don't see each other. Many also say that long distance relationships don't work and really not a good idea. It needs a strong trust, communications, assurance and commitment from each partner which sometimes tend to forget and break by one of them or both.

There are 10 words a couple must remember to make a long distance relationship works

First, commitment. The couple must clarified first to each other if both are willing to have a long distance relationship. If both agreed to the idea, they must set some rules regarding to what must do or not do. They should agree with some ideas on how they will catch up with one another like setting the Friday night as video chat time or send messages everyday especially if not busy.

Second, communication. It is necessary for a relationship to have a constant communication with the partner especially the emotional part. Through the help of new technologies today, there won't have an alibi that one can't reach his partner. The couple could always text each other with sweet messages like "I miss you".

Third, affection. A couple must never ever forget to tell each other the most important three words in a relationship, "I love you". Always express feelings to each other through text messages, calls or e-mails. In this way, one’s partner will not be in doubt and will be assured that they are really committed to each other.

Fourth, support. Even if the couple is not physically together, they could always comfort each other like if in time one of them is very down the other can call right away and tell that everything will be okay.

Fifth, sweetness. Surprise each other with packages once in a while. Every special occasions or even the ordinary day is important for a couple. The more personalized the gift is, the more each partner would appreciate it.

Sixth, bonding. No matter how miles a couple is away from each other, they must establish a bonding moment with each other. How? Simply by sharing to each other, what the other has been doing lately or planning to do. So even in a distance, the couple could also have time to share same thing.

Seventh, understanding. Every relationship faces trials that sometimes lead to a big argument or misunderstanding. Being involved in a long distance relationship, they must expect that this will always happen. If there’s a fight, the couple needs to talk about it and settle it immediately. Keeping a problem to one’s self could lead to a bigger problem.

Eight, trust. The couple must need to trust each other. There would be a time that one may wonder how his partner doing that could lead to jealousy and doubts. It is normal in every relationship but in a relationship, trusting one another is one element needed for a relationship to grow and become stronger.

Ninth, assurance. The couple also needs to see and have a physical contact to each other. This could boost up their relationship and will also assure each other. Being together again after a long time leads to a great excitement for one another.

Tenth, best. The couple need feel the love for one another and be the best partner to each other.

A long distance relationship requires a strong commitment between the couple and if they are ready to do it, everything will not still be perfect yet it will make the two of them realize how much they need to appreciate one another and this could help them to be the best lover they could ever be. Things may change and people also do but if the couple hope and believe that they can make it through then they don’t need to get scared. A long distance relationship is just like an ordinary romantic relationship... it's just between the two persons who love each other.

(1) AMAZING TWINS/LEGENDARY SIBLINGS 2 (2002)
Jimmy Lin as Xiao Yu, TAE as Wuji
  • This is the first taiwanese drama I watched.
  • I think this is also the first Asian drama outside the Philippines that was broadcated here in our country.
  • This drama is so fun! Story about love, friendship and life.
  • Despite of the obvious visual effects, the drama is still great.
  • Jimmy Lin is such a cutie and adorable.

  • This is my all-time favorite taiwanese drama and one of my favorite Asian dramas I have seen.
  • I was so addicted of this show and even to the real life personas of the characters especially the F4.
  • The real F4 along with Barbie Hsu came to our country not only once but twice for their sold-out concerts.

  • I love the soundtrack of this show.

(4) MY MVP VALENTINE (2002)
David Chen, Yang Xing Shu, Angela Zhang, Tony Sun, Margaret  Lin
  • Aside from F4, the boy group that captured my heart was 5566.
  • This show sealed me as one of the group's fans.
  • I love basketball and I love 5566.
  • My bias in the group is Tony Sun.
  • One thing that I don't like about the show is the female cast.

(5) WESTSIDE STORY/XI HIE SHAO NIAN (2003)
Wallace Hu as Xing Wang, Cyndi Wang as Shin Yin He, Esther Liu as Lan Yu Li, Tony Sun as You Ya Yu

  • I also love the songs sang by 5566 for this show.

(6) IT STARTED WITH A KISS (2005)
Ariel Lin as Yuang Xiang Qin, Joe Cheng as Jiang Zhi Shu, Jiro Wang as Jin Yuan Feng

Coming Up: Grand Comeback of the New King Eagle

*I am so in love with basketball. After the NBA Finals where Miami Heat won again [Happy! Go away Heat Haters! Ha!], I am glad to welcome the new season of UAAP. Here is my post last 2011 about Keifer Ravena, my most favorite UAAP basketball player today.
Kiefer Ravena
“He is the future of the Philippine Basketball.” This line talks about the 17-year-old Kiefer Ravena, a slightly skinny but with athletic body, baby-faced and about six-foot tall guard of Ateneo Blue Eagles. At a young age, he had shown his athletic and physical skills in terms of playing basketball but what makes him the basketball prodigy for sports anaylsts is because of his very high basketball IQ. This rookie of UAAP Season 74 captured the attention of all UAAP fans aside from Ateneo community. He did not only give a fantastic game in the hard court during the recent round 1 of this season but he also gave buzz in the Facebook, Yahoo and Twitter for trending worldwide.

Ravena a.k.a ‘Blue Mamba’ started playing at the young age of seven and was chosen as the youngest player for the junior team of Ateneo Blue Eaglets when he was only 13 years old. Last year, Ravena led the Blue Eaglets of Ateneo High School to 3-peat championships in the UAAP Juniors Basketball and he won as the Finals Most Valuable Player. He played and captained the team of the national youth at the 2010 FIBA-Asia Under-18 Championship where he was chosen as one of the Mythical Five awardees. He was really born to be a champion and it’s not questionable because he came from a family of athletes. His father is Bong Ravena, a former basketball player of University of the East and currently the assistant coach of Talk 'n Text in Philippine Basketball Association. His mother is Mozzy Ravena, a former varsity player of volleyball team of University of Santo Tomas and currently a sports analyst for ABS-CBN Sports. His younger brother, Thirdy, is also a basketball player for Blue Eaglets while sister Dani is a grade school volleyball player. He is a natural athlete but like any player, he is just a normal college freshman who also prioritizes his studies, cracks silly jokes and loves to hear music. Though, the limelight is all over him, he wants to be treated as a normal guy especially inside the Ateneo ground.

He is also known as ‘The Phenom’ tagged by the press people for his outstanding abilities in basketball. As one of the starters and talented rookie of Ateneo, his goal is to help the team to win its fourth consecutive championship. And like what every basketball player dreams, Ravena also hopes to be the first Filipino to make it to the National Basketball Association (NBA). Making this dream is difficult but not impossible for this Blue Eagle who keeps soaring high towards the greatest peak of the sports he loves. According to the statistical data from round 1 of Season 74, he is one of the great contenders for the titles of Rookie of the Year and not surprisingly for Most Valuable Player. Every time he gets the ball, everybody looks magnetized by his exceptional moves. He keeps his composure, makes the game exciting through his skills and shows his maturity in every game. No doubt, The Phenom deserves the awes from all.
